Earth River Geothermal Inc. of Annapolis has partnered with WRNR Radio of Annapolis, Maryland for the purpose of further promoting residential and commercial geothermal heating and air conditioning systems-- the most energy efficient HVAC systems available.
Under current law, the Federal government allows a 30% tax deduction without an upper limit for the entire cost of the geothermal installation. The state of Maryland offers $1,000 to residential property owners and $7,000 to commercial property owners for the investment and installation of a geothermal HVAC system. Additionally, several Maryland counties including Anne Arundel County, offer generous property tax credits.
Cumulatively the cost of investing in a geothermal heating and cooling system has never been as low. With the current federal, state and local geothermal incentives, the cost of installing a geothermal ground source heat pump system closely rivals that of the installation costs for standard heat pump systems. The most critical factor one should take in mind while investing in an HVAC system is its energy efficiency and average lifespan.
Geothermal systems on average last over 24 years and their ground loops have an average lifespan of over 55 years! What's more is that you'll save on average 40%+ on your energy bills due to geothermal's considerable energy efficiency.
